Iran's visa waiver for Omanis operational by 10 days

Doha, Sept 23, IRNA - Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Amman said that considering facilities offered by Oman for the entry of Iranian nationals, the travel visa to Iran for Omani citizens was waivered and for the next 10 days will be operational.

Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi said in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday that the Omani citizens could travel to Iran without a visa, according to the approval of the Council of Ministers on September 26 and the first vice president's order.

Referring to the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the abolition of the visa for the citizens of Oman, he said the government's executive resolution will be executed in the next 10 days.

Nouri Shahroudi responded to the question of mutual visa facilitation by the Omani side, 'With the facilities provided by the Omani government, Iranian nationals who intend to travel to the Oman can, in addition to using electronic visa services at the entrance to Oman, get a 10-day visa renewable for up to one year.'
