Islamic world condemns terrorist attack in Ahvaz

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 23, IRNA- The leaders of two Palestinian political groups in Malaysia condemned terrorist attack on a military parade on the anniversary of the Holy Defense in Ahwaz, calling for the opposition of the Islamic countries against any terrorist act in the Islamic world.

In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Seyed Sheikh Atas, head of the Organization for Defending Palestine in Malaysia, said on Sunday that Muslim countries are aware that Iran is not a threat to the world, but that the country is targeted by terrorists.

He stressed that countries like the United States, Britain and the Zionist regime are seeking to destabilize Islamic countries, including Iran, to support and protect the Zionists, and therefore the Islamic world needs to respond appropriately to any kind of terrorist acts.

The Malaysian political activist said that the countries of the Islamic world should have a coherent response for each terrorist act and condemn it entirely.

The head of the Palestinian Cultural Organization in Malaysia, Mosalman Omran, also condemned the terrorist attack in Ahvaz in a conversation with IRNA, saying that Palestinian groups throughout the world, including the Hamas group, have condemned this terrorist act by issuing official statements.

Omran emphasized: 'The Muslim world needs to cooperate more closely with Islamic countries, especially in international arenas. This cooperation will undoubtedly have very positive effects in maintaining peace and stability in these countries.'
