Quake jolts south-central Iran

Shiraz, Sept 23, IRNA— An earthquake measuring 4.7 on Richter scale rocked Khaneh Zenyan city in Arzhan District, Shiraz.

According to the Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University, the earthquake occurred at 08:52 local time (05:22 GMT) at the depth of 11 kilometers.

The epicenter of the quake was registered at 52.03 degrees longitude and 29.49 degrees latitude.

There are no immediate reports on possible casualties or damages.
