Senior Iraqi  MP condemns terror attack in Iran

Baghdad, Sept 22, IRNA - Hassan al-Kaabi, Iraqi Parliament's first deputy speaker condemned the terror attack in Iran's southern city of Ahvaz on Saturday.

In a statement, Al-Kaabi strongly condemned the attack on the army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps during a military parade in Ahvaz.

He expressed sorrow over the terror attack which claimed the lives of military men and civilians including children and women.

Al-Kaabi sympathized with the Islamic Republic of Iran and wished peace and security for all countries.

The terrorist attack has so far claimed the lives of 24 people and wounded 50 others.

Since some of the wounded are in critical condition, the death toll is expected to rise.

The civilians, who had gathered to watch the military parade, took the full brunt of the incident.
