Pakistan provincial speaker invites Iranian investors

Islamabad, Sept 22, IRNA - Speaker of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly Mushtaq Ghani invited Iranian investors to invest in the northwestern province of Pakistan.

He made the above remarks during a meeting with an Iranian delegation led by the Consul General of Iran in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, Muhammad Baqir Beigi, at his office.

Mushtaq Ghani said that Iran and Pakistan are two Islamic brothers who are tied into eternal bond of friendship and their bilateral ties are witnessing an upward trajectory.

He noted that Iran has always helped Pakistan in times of need and that is why the people and the government of Pakistan value their ties with Iran.

Talking to the Iranian diplomat, Ghani added that due to strict security measures Pakistan has been able to control the menace of terrorism.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is committed to provide business-friendly and conducive environment for the business activity, therefore Iranian businessmen must invest their money in the province to take benefit from the emerging economic opportunities.

The Speaker said that exchange of trade delegations should also be encouraged between Iran and Pakistan.

Ghani went on to say that Iran can invest in energy and mining sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Expressing his views, Iranian Consul General Muhammad Baqir Beigi said Iran attaches great importance to promotion of friendly and commercial relations with Pakistan.

The Iranian Consulate, he continued, is ready to provide all possible facilities for business community of Khyber Pakthukhwa with the objective of promotion of bilateral trade between the two brotherly countries.
