English poster of 'Gold Carrier' unveiled

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA – The English poster of the Iranian feature 'Gold Carrier', directed by Touraj Aslani, is unveiled prior to its screening in the New Currents main competition section at the 23rd edition of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in South Korea.

The film has been directed by Tooraj Aslani, co-written by Aslani, Hadi Naderi, and produced by Mansour Sohrabpour and its poster is designed by Sirous Salimi.

The 85-minute flick chronicles Reza, a gold carrier who is couriering gold and jewelry from workshops to stores.

Aslani is a veteran cinematographer and has so far shined in several international festivals and won a number of awards.

'Gold Carrier' is considered as Aslani's serious attendance in the field of film directing.

Robbed one day on his way, he wants to pay compensation, so encouraged by his friend Louie, he heads to an auction. But a wobbly Tehran market makes Reza’s situation even worse.

Hossein Ahmadinia, Saeed Aqakhani, Lotfollah Seyfi and Jaleh Sameti are among the 'Gold Carrier' cast.

The New Currents section is dedicated to competition among up-and-coming Asian film-makers' first or second feature that bestows two films with New Currents Award.

Movies from Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Bhutan, Germany, Nepal, Korea, and Kyrgyzstan will compete in this section.
