Iran, Japan determined to reinforce ties

Beijing, Sept 20, IRNA – The Iranian ambassador to Japan said that Tehran and Tokyo are determined to reinforce relations.

Both countries will be able to achieve bigger goals through consultation, Morteza Rahmani Movahed said Wednesday in a meeting with Tatsuya Terazawa, vice minister for international affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

Rahmani Movahed referred to expansion of economic exchanges between Iran and Japan in post-JCPOA era, saying not only Iran is a big economic market but the country has access to 300 million market around itself.

Meanwhile, Terazawa evaluated as positive relations between Iran and Japan.

He also underlined the Japanese government’s support for Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The Japanese government will spare no efforts to continue economic relations with Iran, he reiterated.
