3 young Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers in semi-finals

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA - Pouya Naserpour, Mohammad Hadi Saravi and Amin Mirzazadeh, Iran's national Greco-Roman wrestlers, reached the semi-finals of the World Junior Championship in Slovakia.

The first five weights of world wrestling championship took place on Monday morning in the city of Trnava, Slovakia.

In 55 kg of Pouya Naserpour in the first round with a result of 8-0 defeated Ramaz Silagava from Georgia. In the next round, he faced with Amin Safarsheyev bronze medal holder of the youth from Russia 7-0. Nasserpoor went through the semi-finals in the third round with 5-4 result by defeating Florin Tita holder of European bronze medal of under 23 from Romania. He faces Kyrgyzstan Nouratjin Karimberdi Olova in the final.

In 87 kg, Mohammad Hadi Saravi scored a 10-3 victory against Temori Tchasklids in the first round. In the second round, he faced Igor Yaroshichov from Belarus. He won 8-2. In the third round, Saravi defeated Alexei Zowke from Hungary 6-0 and went to semi-final. His opponent is Ilia Eromlenko from Russia.

In 130 kg, Amin Mirzazadeh won in the first round against Fateh Bouscourt from Turkey with a 4-1 win. In the second round, he defeated Sarkhan Mamedov from Azerbaijan at 10-1. Mirzazadeh defeated Germany in the second round with a 2-1 win over Franz Richter, going to the semi-finals. At this stage, he will face with Georgia's Beka Makarida.
