Iranian Speaker urges boost of ties with Belarus

Moscow, Sept 8, IRNA – Iran's Parliament Speaker urged expansion of economic, industrial and academic ties with Belarus.

Ali Larijani who was visiting Belarus on Friday said Tehran and Minsk are two loyal partners and their friendly relations has been proved in various occasions.

Echoing the remarks made by Belarus' President Alexander Lukashenko, he emphasized that the two countries should accelerate their trade exchange.

Commenting on the bilateral parliamentary ties, Larijani said the friendship groups should pursue the talks and implement the agreements.

'Iran can cooperate with Belarus on manufacturing light machinery,' he said.

The Speaker also noted that Iran and Belarus should expand their cooperation on agriculture, academic ties and transportation.
