Sanctions will not affect Tehran-Prague economic ties

Tehran, Sept 7, IRNA – Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Lukas Kaucky said that sanctions will not impact Tehran-Prague ties, as Czech Republic industries have always had good communications with Iranian companies.

A delegation comprising tradesmen from East Azarbaijan province is currently in Czech Republic and took part in the specialized meetings held by Czech Industries Confederation and Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

During the meetings, representatives of over 50 Czech companies and East Azarbaijan province explored avenues for mutual cooperation.

Iran’s Ambassador to Prague Ali Akbar Jokar said that Iran’s exports to Czech Republic has increased by 35 percent in the first half of the Iranian calendar year (started March 21).

He also voiced Iranian Embassy’s readiness to offer facilities to the tradesmen.

Kaucky also said that over the past years, the two countries’ officials have exchanged visits which have helped boost economic, cultural and political relations.

Although sanctions have created problems but Iran and European Union’s constructive ties will hopefully help overcome the problems, he said.
