During the meeting attended by Iran’s parliamentary delegation and deputies of Iranian and Russian ministers, Larijani stressed that officials of the two countries held talks but they should discuss problems with the Iranian and Russian parliaments.
Majlis will surely pay attention to the field of transportation, especially rail transportation and companies of the two countries engaged in the arena, he said.
Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, for his part said that the two countries' parliaments are unanimous about the fact that under current conditions Iran and Russia should have strategic cooperation.
Joint parliamentary meetings between the two countries should continue so that current cooperation will further improve, he said.
The two countries can also broaden cooperation in the fields of banking, trade, agriculture and rail transportation, the Duma chief said.
The Russian Duma and Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) held their joint cooperation commission meeting in the southwest Russian city of Volgograd on Thursday.
