Iran seeking friendly ties with other countries

London, Sept 1, IRNA – Apart from the Zionist regime of Israel, Tehran is after maintaining friendly relations with other countries based on mutual respect, Iran's ambassador to London said.

Hamid Baeidinejad made the remarks Friday in an Instagram post referring to Iran foreign policy as regard rejecting hegemony of East and West.

Commenting on the threats made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about conducting nuclear attack on Iran, the ambassador said, Netanyahu has invested on threatening Iran to walk away from internal pressures.

He also referred to US economic war against Iran, saying it is not just a hypothesis but their official position.

The role of institutes like Cambridge Analytica has been highlighted in distracting public opinion in West and through cyber space.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message slammed Israel's shameless allegations against Iran.

'Iran, a country without nuclear weapons, is threatened with atomic annihilation by a warmonger standing next to an actual nuclear weapons factory. Beyond shameless in the gall,' Zarif tweeted on Thursday.

The UN nuclear watchdog IAEA has on several occasions verified peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program under the JCPOA, to which Iran has remained committed since it went into force.

The JCPOA stands for Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the official name of the agreement reached between Iran and six world major powers in 2015 to give Tehran sanctions relief in return for scaling back its nuclear program.

After Washington's May 8 exit from the historic Iran Deal, the US gave 90 to 180 wind-down period to other countries before it starts re-imposing oil sanctions on Tehran on November 4.

Part of the US illegitimate sanctions were imposed on Iran on August 9.

Trump also said he would reinstate the US nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose “the highest level” of economic bans on the Islamic Republic.
