Iran, Japan kick off cinematic production

Tehran, Sept 1, IRNA - Iran-Japan cinematic venture ‘Borderline’, by Mehrdad Ghaffarzadeh and a Japanese helmer, is currently in its pre-production stage.

The Iranian director broke the news to local media on Thursday, adding he is writing the script for his latest flick, ifilmtv.ir reported.

Iranian-Japanese cinematic product is being written by Ghaffarzadeh and Akbar Rooh and its cast will include prominent Iranian actor Mehdi Ahmadi.

Iran is responsible for filming ‘Borderline’ in Turkey, Iran and Kenya while Japan will assume this role in Japan.

‘Borderline’ follows two manual workers hailing from Iran and Japan, each narrating his own story in different settings. Unknowingly, the stories of these two workers converge at a certain point.
