Iran, Uzbekistan to cooperate in energy field

Tehran, June 27, IRNA - Chairman of the Board of Directors of IDRO Group Mansour Moazami and Uzbek Minister of Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev underlined developing cooperation in modern industries, food industry, pharmaceuticals and energy fields.

Referring to an agreement between two countries and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s imminent trip to Uzbekistan, he called for finalizing industrial projects.

Meanwhile, Khodjaev referred to Uzbekistan's cooperation with Iran in the industrial field, especially taking advantage of Iranian firms’ potentials in food industry, machinery, pharmaceuticals, modern industries and energy fields.

Petrochemical products, pistachio, tea, various kinds of flooring and stones are exported to Uzbekistan.

The Industrial Development & Renovation Organization of Iran known as IDRO Group was established in 1967 in Iran. IDRO Group is one of the largest companies in Iran.

It is also one of the largest conglomerates in Asia.
