Iran and Turkmenistan enjoy very good historical relations and cooperation, Zolfaghari said, adding that the two presidents also called for deepening of such ties and affinity between the two nations.
Close cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan plays positive role in security of the region, he said.
Terrorism and organized crimes have roots in displacement of Daesh terrorists from Iraq and Syria to Afghanistan, he said.
Drug trafficking is another major issue for both countries, he said.
Turkmen envoy, for his part, thanked Iran's timely measures in fight against drug trafficking.
He expressed the hope that the two countries to continue cooperation in line with both sides interests.
