Habibollah Dahmardeh urged on Tuesday the Iranian ministries of education, foreign affairs, and other officials to call for participation of international organizations like UNESCO in funding the education costs of immigrant students in Iran.
Presently, there are 500,000 immigrant students studying in Iran, the MP said.
Iran is among countries that, without demanding anything in return, has been hosting immigrants and the United Nations has acknowledged the country's efforts in this regard, Dahmardeh said.
'Immigrant students are studying at the Iranian schools under equal conditions,' he said.
