Araqchi: Quds move one of Trump's enormous mistakes

Tehran, Jan 31, IRNA – An Iranian diplomat described Wednesday US president Donald Trump's measure to recognize Holy Quds as capital of the Zionist regime as one of his enormous mistakes.

Addressing Quds Capital of Peace of Religions, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araqchi said 'for sure Quds is main capital of the Islamic world and would be returned to the Islamic Ummah.'

He deemed the gathering as a unique venue for the attendance of followers and leaders of Islamic world's religions to forge convergence, unity and showing their common sense against enemies.

Describing Holy Quds, as the first Qibla of Muslims, he added that Holy Quds is considered as the main issue of Islamic world and should be kept alive.

Slamming Trump's recent move for relocating US' embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds, he stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran censures this irrational move and would tackle it.

Araqchi said the enemies are trying to derail Muslims from their main purposes through formation of terrorist groups, fanning the flames of domestic wars and creating division among them.
