Russian envoy lauds Moscow, Tehran's key role  in solving crises

Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA – Russian Ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan said on Tuesday that Moscow and Tehran share common stances regarding the international development s, as they acted successfully in solving regional crises, Syria crisis in particular.

In a meeting with Parliament speaker's advisor for international affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian, he added that Iran-Russia relations have always been at high levels.

Expressing pleasure with expansion of parliamentary ties between the two countries, he said that effective steps have been taken to strengthen diplomatic and parliamentary relations between Iran and Russia and they will hopefully continue.

Amirabdollahian, for his part, said Iran-Russia cooperation on Syrian situation have greatly affected counter-terrorism campaign in the region, reiterating, “Iran considers instability in the region detrimental to all regional countries.”

Hailing the growing trend of the two countries’ parliamentary ties, he added that Tehran-Moscow relationship is of high significance for the region.

The Iranian official described Russia as a major friend and neighbor of Iran, saying that Iran is determined to boost all-out cooperation with Russia.

Referring to Sochi talks and Iran-Russia regional and international cooperation in solving crises, he said that Islamic Republic considers instability harmful to the entire region.
