Diplomat: Iran-China cooperation, ties in good level

Beijing, Jan 30, IRNA – Tehran-Beijing relations and cooperation are at a good level, Iran Ambassador to China Ali-Asghar Khaji said on Tuesday.

Addressing a group of Chinese students visiting Iran Embassy in China, Khaji said Iran and China have had friendly relations since very long time ago and their people have had contact through Silk Road.

He said the two-way ties will also continue in the future.

Khaji added that thanks to the virtual space and technology, links among the youth is more simplified and language is the most important communicative tool and we should try to help people of the two countries learn each other's language.

'Today, Chinese language is taught in our universities and even students in Iranian school of the embassy are learning Chinese language. Likewise, Persian language is taught in more than 10 Chinese universities, which prompts learning of the languages of the two countries.'

Among our programs for expansion of people-people contacts in the future is expansion of tourism relations between Iran and China as last year, about 112,000 Iranians visited China and Iran provided Chinese tourists with airport visas to visit the country.

He hoped for scientific and educational cooperation, professor and student exchanges and cultural activities by the two countries in the future.
