Iranian tennis players bag 2 Asian quotas

Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – Iranian table tennis players Mohammad Amin Samadi and Matin Najafi received two Asian quotas in Central Asia Hopes competitions which was held in Tehran.

The Central Asian Hopes Competitions was held on January 23-28 in Enghelab Sport Complex, Tehran.

Samadi and Najafi defeated all Iranian and foreign rivals.

Iranian athletes ranked 1-4 and four players from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan jointly stood 5th.

Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using small bats. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net.
