Speaking to IRNA on Sunday, Ali Kashani said that all the airport's flights will be cancelled until 8:00 a.m. on Monday.
He said that the flights will be resumed as soon as weather conditions improve.
First snow covered the Iranian capital and many other cities across the country over the past 24 hours.
The snow was so heavy that it shut down all schools in Tehran and many other cities and the office hours started two hours later than usual. The roads and streets were blocked and many cars got stuck on the way.
