Tehran International Imam Khomeini Airport still closed

Tehran, Jan 28, IRNA – Tehran's International Imam Khomeini Airport is still closed due to heavy snowfall and low vision, according to the director of public relations department of the airport.

Speaking to IRNA on Sunday, Ali Kashani said that all the airport's flights will be cancelled until 8:00 a.m. on Monday.

He said that the flights will be resumed as soon as weather conditions improve.

First snow covered the Iranian capital and many other cities across the country over the past 24 hours.

The snow was so heavy that it shut down all schools in Tehran and many other cities and the office hours started two hours later than usual. The roads and streets were blocked and many cars got stuck on the way.
