Trump's anti-Iran efforts to get nowhere: Iranian MP

Tehran, Jan 28, IRNA – Futile efforts by US President Donald Trump to dent the global image of the Islamic Republic of Iran will go nowhere, senior Iranian Member of Parliament Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Sunday.

Boroujerdi made the remarks speaking to reporters when asked to comment on the recent comments by US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley claiming the missiles used by Yemen's Ansarallah forces are Iran-made.

He said that the US measures are in line with the efforts made by the triangle of Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Referring to behind-the-scene efforts by the US for new scenarios to disintegrate Syria, the lawmaker said these are futile efforts too.

As the project of Daesh and changing the political structure of Syria have been foiled, the US is seeking to set up a thirty-thousand-member Kurd army trained by its advisors, Boroujerdi said.

'We strongly support the territorial integrity of Syria and Iraq,' he added.
