Injury toll in Kabul Saturday blast rises to 191

Kabul, Jan 28, IRNA – The explosion that took place in Kabul on Saturday killed 95 and injured 191 people, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan on Sunday.

'Some of the injured are in critical condition, so the figures may change,' said Vahid Majrouh in a press conference.

He also said that some of the victims need DNA tests to be recognized, adding that the emergency ward of Jomhuriat Hopsital was totally destroyed in the explosion.

On Saturday, a suicide bomber blew up an ambulance that was loaded with explosives near the previous building of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, which is located in one of the busiest areas in Kabul.

Taleban, claiming they have killed 80 police officers, accepted the responsibility for the explosion.
