Islamic revolution day one of bipolar system fall: Envoy

Vienna, Jan 28, IRNA – The Islamic Revolution in Iran was the beginning of bipolar system collapse in the world, Iran envoy to Vienna said.

'The accelerating developments in post-cold war era have resulted in great changes in political, economic, scientific and technology fields,' Ebadollah Molaie said on Saturday, addressing the the 52nd conference of the Islamic Union Association for Iranian Students in Europe underway in an Islamic center in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

Molaie referred to Iran’s regional and global status, saying the 1979 Islamic Revolution played a pioneering role in creating fundamental developments in international system and was regarded as a turning point in bringing back Iran to contemporary era.

'Iran is the harbinger of peace, stability and security both in the region and the world, he said, referring to Iran’s important role in fighting terrorism, extremism and violence.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Molaie elaborated on the latest conditions of scientific and academic cooperation between Iran and Austria.
