Iran sympathizes with South Korea on fire incident

Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman in a statement expressed condolences with the South Korean people and government on fire incident at a hospital which claimed the lives of at least 37 people.

In a statement released on Friday evening, Bahram Qasemi expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident at a hospital in South Korea and death of at least 37 people and injury of more than 100 patients.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman offered his condolences to the bereaved families of the victims and wished recovery for the injured.

A fire raged through a small South Korean hospital with no sprinkler system on Friday, killing at least 37 people, many of them elderly, and injuring more than 140 others in the country's deadliest blaze in about a decade.

Authorities said 143 people were injured, including seven who were in serious condition.
