Guinea Bissau keen on Iran contribute to its auto, steel industries

Tehran, Jan 23, IRNA – Member of Iran-Guinea Bissau Parliamentary Friendship Group Ramin Nourgholipour said on Tuesday that a parliamentary delegation from Guinea Bissau has visited car manufacturing and steel industries of Iran and is interested in activity in the fields in Iran.

Gholipour, speaking in a meeting with Guinean Speaker of Parliament, said good capacity can be provided for the investment in Guinea Bissau because it is interested that Iran is active there.

He said Guinea Bissau is rich in different mineral resources such as bauxite, potassium and uranium as well as fisheries, and wished for Iran's cooperation with it to exploit mineral resources.

The parliamentarian said the Guinea Bissau parliamentary delegation wants transfer of technology to its country by Iran to afford to fisheries sector.

Guinea Bissau officials acknowledged the shortage of vessels, and said that they need Iran's experience in that field, he added.

Guinea Bissau is to invite Iran-Guinea Bissau parliamentary friendship group in the first appropriate time to open a new chapter in the economic and technical relations, he concluded.
