Exports from NE Iran increase by 122 percent

Bojnourd, Jan 21, IRNA – Director General for North Khorasan Customs Office Javad Jaafari on Sunday said that goods exports from this northeastern province of Iran had a 122-percent growth in the nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-Dec 21, 2017).

During a meeting, he told Governor General of North Khorasan Mohammad Reza Salehi that the exported goods hit 57 million dollars.

Jaafari said the Customs Office income in this period was 70 billion rials, adding that imports in this office by 37 percent decrease in value was a little more than 8 million dollars, in comparison with the same period of the preceding year.

The governor general said launching railway customs in Jajarm city is a point of strength for the province and underlined its full activation in the coming weeks.

North Khorasan province has 300 kilometers of common border with Turkmenistan Republic, but it does not have any Customs office or border market with the country.
