Sanchi black box likely to be decrypted in 2 days

Beijing, Jan 21, IRNA – The black box of the Iranian sunken oil Tanker ‘Sanchi’ will probably be decrypted within two days, Iran consular general to Shanghai said.

The meeting to coordinate issues related to the opening the black box will be held on Monday, Alireza Irvash told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

The black box should be decrypted with the attendance of the Iranian and Swedish representatives and the other sides, he said.

The analyzing procedure will take time and will be accomplished with accuracy, Irvash added.

He went on to say that requests of the victims’ families as regard transferring bodies to Iran should also be sent immediately to China.

A sum of 30 Iranians and two Bangladeshi sailors, who were all crew members of the Sanchi crew, were killed because of the toxic gases and the huge fire which embraced the tanker after the ship collided with a Chinese freighter in the East China Sea on Jan 6.

All the rescue efforts were in vain and the oil tanker sank on January 14.
