12 parliamentary senior officials arrive in Tehran

Tehran, Jan 13, IRNA – One parliament speaker and 11 vice-speakers arrived in Tehran on Saturday to attend the 13th Conference of the parliamentary Union of the OIC member-states (PUIC).

So far, Indonesian parliament speaker and vice-speakers from Mauritania, Jordan, Gambia, Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Chad have arrived in Tehran.

Parliamentary delegations started to arrive in Tehran since Wednesday January 10 to be continued until Tuesday January 16, 2018.

Member of PUIC Abdolreza Azizi said that the expert meeting of the PUIC has started since Saturday with representatives from 44 countries.

Iran had invited all 54 member states of OIC and 44 countries announced their readiness to attend the conference.

Azizi said it is due that 16 parliament speakers, 14 vice-speakers to attend the meeting and the rest will participate in the level of parliament members.

The 13th Conference of Parliament Union of the OIC member states (PUIC) summit is to be kicked off on Tuesday and Wednesday in Tehran.
