The quake at 6:48 am local time (3:18 am) hit Hojdak that was hit by a strong quake in December, Spokesman of Kerman's Disaster Management Center Mostafa Mousavi told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
'People in the region are still living in tents and make-shift shelters,' he said.
'Assessment teams have been dispatched to the region,' he said, ' and, fortunately, there was no report of injury or damage.'
Another mild earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 hit Hojdak Wednesday at 8:40 pm (17:10 pm). It caused no damage or injurey.
Hojdak lies on the center north of Kerman Province.
