Pakistani analyst accuses US for supporting Iran enemies

Karachi, Jan 9, IRNA -- A Pakistani analyst based in Denmark accuses US of supporting the enemies of Iran and trying to provoke the Islamic Republic in order to have politically strong position in the region.

In an interview with IRNA on the sidelines the International Media Conference in Karachi, Chairman of Organization for World Peace Abid Ali Abid said Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey should unite to counter American pressure.

He said that Iran and Pakistan are two brotherly Muslim states and their cooperation should be enhanced in all areas which will also benefit the people of the two countries as well as the entire region.

Abid said there is a need for open business visa between Iran and Pakistan, introducing students exchange program, tourism visa, more business opportunities and cultural exchange programs so that people of Iran and Pakistan can be more close to each other.

“People of Iran love Pakistani philosopher and poet Iqbal Lahori so there is a need for certain cooperation in literature also,” he pointed out.

Expressing his views, the analyst said Donald Trump is the President of the US, but his vision is very limited politically and he or his advisers are running the American foreign policy in a very ugly way.

He added that the statement of American President does not really represent whole America because the people of the US are divided on his policies.

The expert added changing the status of al-Quds (Jerusalem) is also unnecessary interference in the internal affairs, but this also shows that provoking other countries is the policy of Trump.

Expressing his views on Trump’s anti-Pakistan statements, the analyst said Trump did not think about thousands of people who died in war against terrorism. “It was not Pakistani war it was an international war and Pakistan was just a partner for peace,” he said.

Abid Ali Abid went on to say that Americans have created terrorism in the world when they forced Pakistan to face Soviet army in Afghanistan and now after looking into their failures in Afghanistan they are trying to put the blame on the shoulders of Pakistan.
