Iran ups agricultural products exports by 201 percent in NE province

Bojnord, Jan 7, IRNA – Exports from North Khorasan province showed a 201-percent growth during the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year (will end on March 20, 2018).

The 12,000-ton exported goods worth $8,600,000, an official with Agricultural Jihad office of North Khorasan Hazratqoli Heidari told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday.

“The exported products comprised food products, tomato paste, sugar, macaroni, chicken leg, potato, onion, vegetable, livestock, shallot and poultry feed,” he said.

“The products are exported to 21 countries, namely; Turkmenistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Thailand and Germany,” he added.

Afghanistan has 35 percent share, Turkmenistan 14%, India 15%, Iraq 6.5% and other countries 29.5% of NE Khorasan exports.
