Iran rock climber nominated for world best athlete

Qazvin, Jan 2, IRNA – Iranian rock climber Reza Alipour has become nominated for world non-Olympic games.

The United World Games listed names of 9 athletes as nominees for the best player among whom was the name of Alipour.

The World Games is held every four years.

The 2017 edition of the event was held in Poland during which Iran’s Alipour received a gold medal and was also named as the best player.

Alipour has 5.57 second record of World Games and 5.48 second record of world championships.

He also carries the title of Usain Bolt of speed climbing.

Usain St Leo Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter. He is the first person to hold both the 100 meters and 200 meters world records since fully automatic time became mandatory.
