ICU artificial ventilator system line launched

Tehran, Dec 31, IRNA – The production line of the ICU artificial ventilator system was launched in the presence of Vice President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari on Sunday.

The system is created for the first time by one of knowledge-based medical companies.

The device was made by Iranian company Saadat Company.

A medical ventilator (or simply ventilator in context) is a mechanical ventilator, a machine designed to move breathable air into and out of the lungs, to provide breathing for a patient who is physically unable to breathe, or breathes insufficiently.

While modern ventilators are computerized machines, patients can be ventilated with a simple, hand-operated bag valve mask.
