2 mass graves discovered in Raqqa, Syria

Tehran, Dec 30, IRNA – Two mass graves with dead bodies of scores of civilians and military forces were found in Raqqa, eastern Syria, according to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

“The bodies were related to those who were executed by Daesh terrorists in western Raqqa,” SANA reported late on Friday.

After taking back control of western Raqqa by Syrian Army, local people said that there were two mass graves in the area.

Syrian Army expelled Daesh terrorists from western and southern Raqqa in summer 2017 and took control of the city which is 368 kilometers to northeast of the capital, Damascuss.

It is not the first time that mass graves of killings by anti-government and Daesh terrorists are being discovered in Syria.

Residents of Deir ez-Zor on Dec 17, 2014 found a mass grave containing 230 dead bodies.
