Islamic Radios & Television Union condemns Kabul's terrorist attack

Tehran, Dec 29, IRNA – The Islamic Radios and Televisions Union on Friday denounced the terrorist attack on Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) that left at least 40 people killed.

The Union in a statement that was published on Thursday night said, 'Once again, terrorism hits innocent people in Afghanistan in a triplet synchronized attack against the Afghan Voice News Aagency, which performs its ethical and legitimate role faithfully and sincerely, and once again it uncovers hostility against the proud people longing for freedom, and proving the honesty of the authentic media's stance.'

The attack that occurred at around 10:30 am local time (7:00 GMT) on Thursday left at least 40 people killed and many others injured.

'The martyrdom and injury of more than 120 free Muslim people, including a group of students and employees who sacrificed themselves inside the offices of 'Afghan Voice' and 'Tebyan Cultural Center', stresses the continuous and coward attempts of the global arrogance to silence the honest media, ignoring Allah's saying in the Holy Quran: {They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it}, Holy Quran, As-Saf, verse 8,' the statement read.

'The Islamic Radios and Televisions Union's General Secretariat, in the name of its Secretary General, members, institutions and employees, strongly denounces this terrorist act and expresses deep condolences to the families of the martyrs, namely the martyrs of the Afghan Voice Nnews Agency, as well as all people of media and arts, in addition to the brave and sacrificing Afghan people. It is also quite sure that terrorism will be humiliated, and such terrorist acts won't be but a shameful mark on their foreheads because the truth will shine with the efforts of the patient and insightful followers of the authentic Islam of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).'

The Takfiri terrorist group of Daesh (ISIS) has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
