Over 40 killed in Kabul suicide attack: local media

Tehran, Dec 28, IRNA – More than 40 people were killed and tens more were wounded in a suicide attack on Tebyan cultural center in Pule Sokhtia, Kabul, Afghanistan, on Thursday morning, according to Afghan media.

'According to one survivor, social activists had gathered at the Tebyan social and cultural activity center for a meeting when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives,' wrote ToloNews.

The attack took place at about 10:30 am local time (6:00 GMT).

According to the officials, two or three terrorists committed the crime using grenades.

'The Taliban immediately denied any involvement in the attack,' ToloNews report wrote.

According to officials, women, children and journalists are among the dead.
