Iran Envoy, Minsk mayor discuss bilateral ties

Tehran, Dec 27, IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to Belarus Mustafa Ovaysi and Mayor of Minsk Andrei Shorets in a meeting in Belarus capital on Wednesday discussed bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the meeting in Minsk today, the two sides discussed ways to expand urban relations and cooperation between municipalities of the two capitals as well as investment projects of Iranian companies in Belarus.

Shorets, for his part, welcomed development of cooperation between Minsk and Tehran municipalities and expressed readiness to share experiences in the field of air pollution control and urban environment and providing electrical buses for Tehran.

Development of cultural cooperation between the two capitals in the fields of museums, art galleries and institutes, holding joint art exhibitions were among other issues discussed in the meeting.

Mayor Andrei Shorets also invited Tehran mayor to pay visit to Belarus capital of Minsk.
