Iran, Armenia cooperation for investment in Aras and Moghri Free Zones

Moscow, Dec 26, IRNA – Governor General of Syunik Province of Armenia Vaheh Hacoupian met with Iran's Ambassador to Yerevan Kazem Sajjadi on Tuesday and discussed ways to expand cooperation between free trade zones of Aras and Mughri.

In the meeting, Sajjadi underlined the importance of development of cooperation between the two free trade zones of Iran and Armenia and introducing necessary incentives to absorb investment in the region.

Hacoupian, for his part, pointed to the Armenian government's intention to absorb foreign investment in Mughri Free Trade Zone and expressed his readiness for cooperation with investors in the zone.

He also acknowledged serious intention of government to build north-south road and preparing appropriate grounds to increase land transportation between the two countries.

The two countries have planned for development of cooperation in two free trade zones of Aras and Mughri.

The two zones are neighboring with each other in Iran and Armenia.
