156 b/cm gas transferred via Asia's largest gas network

Tehran, Dec 25, IRNA – Iran's gas network, which ranks firt in Asia in terms of installations capacity, has transferred more than 156 billion cubic meters since beginning of this year (March 21) to December 21, 2017.

According to a report by Ministry of Petroleum, during March 21-December 21 (nine months) 156.318 billion cubic meters of gas has been transferred via gas transfer network.

The report said that on average 566.4 million cubic meters of gas were transferred daily in the network, which showed 7 percent growth as compared with the same period of the preceding year.

Now, gas transfer capacity of Iran via 36,000 kilometers pipeline is 800 million cubic meters of gas daily.

In vision 2025 of gas industry, the transfer capacity will hit 400 billion cubic meters.

Iran's gas transfer network in terms of installation volume ranks first in Asia and fourth in the world after Russia, US and Canada.
