Iran can produce 41m liters of Euro-4 gasoline per day

Tehran, Dec 24, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Petroleum Alireza Sadeqabadi said on Sunday that Iran is capable of producing 41 million liters of Euro-4 gasoline and 32 million liters of diesel fuel everyday.

Speaking to reporters, Sadeqabadi said that once the second phase of the Persian Gulf Star Refinery in southern Iran comes on stream, the county will reach sustainable production of gasoline.

Noting that Iran's average gasoline imports over the first eight months of the Iranian calendar year (started on March 20) has been 13 million liters a day, the official said that the gasoline imports over the past two months has been largely aimed to increase the country's strategic reserves.
