Mazandaran exports $30m kiwi

Sari, Dec 24, IRNA- Director General for Mazandaran Custom's office Abulqasem Yusefinejad said on Sunday that in the current year one third of kiwi products of the province worth 30 million dollars have been exported abroad.

He said that in this period of time around 56,000 tons of 180,000 tons province products have been exported.

Yusefinejad said around 10 percent of total non-oil export of the province has been kiwi this year.

He said that totally 303 million dollars of non-oil goods were exported from Mazandaran in current year, which had 6 percent increase in terms of price as compared with the year before.

Volume of non-oil goods exported from the province was 513,000 tons, which was 21 percent less than the same period of the year before.

He said countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, and Persian Gulf littoral states, Commonwealth Independence States (CIS) and Turkey were goals of the exporting goods.

The official said that in current year 2.166 million tons worth 676 million dollars non-oil goods and raw materials have entered to Mazandaran customs office.

Around half of non-oil exporting value of the preceding year belonged to dairy products.
