Italy, S. Korea ready to build hospitals in Iran

Tehran, Dec 24, IRNA – Italy and South Korea expressed readiness for building hospitals in Iran on the first day of the 3rd International Exhibition of Hospital Building, Infrastructure, Installation and Equipment in Tehran.

The number of participants in the event, which opened in the Iranian capital on Sunday, shows a 25-percent increase compared to the previous edition.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the opening ceremony, Amir Makri, the deputy head of Iran International Exhibitions Company, said that domestic companies with high capabilities in this area have had an active presence in the event.

He said that different issues such as building smart and digital hospitals as well as construction materials for hospital building were put on display in this exhibition.

Iran is well-known for medical sciences all over the world, the official said, complaining that the hospital infrastructure and installation are not compatible with the country's medical sciences.

Makri noted that holding such exhibitions could help attract both domestic and foreign investment.
