Brit Museum head visits Tehran Contemporary Art Museum

Tehran, Dec 24, IRNA – Heads of the British Museum and Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMOCA) visited Tony Cragg works at TMOCA on Sunday.

Ali-Mohammad Zaare' welcomed Hartwig Fischer and hoped that people of the world will be able to see the precious treasures on display at the Iranian museum.

Fischer was surprised at the rich collection of the TMOCA, and said that there are unique works from Western and Iranian artists in the gallery which any art fan wishes to see.

He also said that the Tony Cragg collection in TMOCA is one of the most comprehensive ones.

Regarding Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art international stance, Fischer wished to expand cooperation between the British Museum and TMOCA.

Tony Cragg collection, named 'Roots and Stones', is open to the public until January 18, 2018.

Sir Anthony Douglas Cragg, 68, is a British sculptor.
