Trilateral meeting on Syria kicks off in Astana

Baku, Dec 21, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia and Turkey kicked off the new round of Astana talks on Syria in Astana, Kazakhstan, capital on Thursday. The trilateral talks is to guarantee ceasefire in Syria.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Iran's Top negotiator Hossein Jaberi Ansari heads the Iranian delegation at the 8th round of Astana trilateral talks.

Before the trilateral meeting, the Iranian envoy met with other members separately and reviewed issues of mutual interest.

In this round of talks various issues such as preparing Syrian national dialogue conference, swaping arrested and abducted people and bodies of killed people from both sides, demining of the affected areas and preserving the country's cultural heritage.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has spared no efforts to remove existing barriers to ratify relative documents.
