Iran swimmer bags gold in Asian Para Games

Karaj, Dec 20, IRNA – Iranian swimmer Amir Mohammad Sedighi snatched a gold medal in the 3rd Asian Youth Para Games which was held in Dubai, UAE.

Sedighi grabbed a gold medal in breaststroke field and a bronze medal in 400-meter freestyle category.

The event was held on Dec 10-13 with the attendance of 800 athletes from Iran, the UAE, Bahrain, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Palestine, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.

Iranian squad with 118 medals ranked second and 85 of medals were snatched by disabled athletes.

The medals comprised of 39 gold, 44 silver and 35 bronze medals.
