Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA – French President Emmanuel Macron said in Paris on Tuesday that the landmark nuclear deal clinched between Iran and Group 5+1 is deemed as the 'basis of Paris-Tehran cooperation' and 'unchangeable'.

Macron made the remarks while receiving credentials of Iran’s new ambassador in France Abolghassem Delfi.

Touching upon the France's policy to safeguard and implement the historic nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he stressed that Paris is keen on continuation of 'constructive relations' with Iran.

He expressed satisfaction over cordial relations between France and Iran and voiced France's willingness to negotiate with Iran on regional developments.

Delfi, for his part, said Iran has always emphasized the need for settlement of regional issues through dialogue and is against any foreign intervention.

He referred to the old-age relations between Iran and France and said the two countries' consultations help foster regional stability and security.
