SKorea ready to cooperate with Iran in health projects

Seoul, Dec 15, IRNA – South Korean Minister of Health and Welfare Park Neunghoo said his country is ready to establish cooperation with Iran in health and medical fields.

In the wake of South Korean President's visit to Iran in 2016, some agreements were signed between both countries' health ministries which are regarded as a major stride in developing relations, Park told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Friday.

We are ready to cooperate with Iran in improving insurance system in Iran, he said, following signing of seven agreements between Iranian and Korean health officials.

I am sure that we will be able to help Iran improve the quality of hospital services and also create monitoring systems for health departments, he added.

Park urged Iranian health minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi to help him in transferring the required health systems from Korea to Iran for building hospitals in Iran.

The Export–Import Bank of Korea will finance $9b for Iran's orders from South Korean companies, he said.
