Quake jolts western Iran

Khorramabad, Dec 13, IRNA - A 4-magnitude earthquake rocked Nour Abad, in western province of Lorestan on Wednesday.

According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 9:35 hours local time (6:05 GMT) in an area located at 33.87 degrees latitude and 47.68 degrees longitude and in the depth of 6 kilometers.

There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.

Another earthquake measuring 2.9 magnitudes on the Richter scale also shook the area at 9:41 just six minutes after the first one.
