Int’l Maritime Industries Exhibition kicks off in southern Iran

Kish Island, Dec 13, IRNA - The 19th International Maritime Industries Exhibition started Wednesday with the attendance of Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi in the Persian Gulf Island of Kish in southern Iran.

'The exhibition is regarded as the oldest and the most prestigious international maritime exhibition in Iran,” the executive secretary of the event Peyman Masoudzade told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

The event hosts over 100 domestic firms in an area covering 7,500 square meters.

“Foreign companies from the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Italy, Turkey, China, Spain, Finland, France, the UAE, India, Malaysia, Greece, Denmark and South Korea have participated in the exhibition,” he added.

The exhibition aims at making familiar toghether those involved with maritime potentials, having interaction with foreign firms and also making people and officials aware of maritime culture,” Masoudzade said.

He went on to say that the event was organized by Iranian Association of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and Kish Free Zone Organization.
